Just in - my new headphones
I have sampled a lot of headphones in my days behind the mixing board or in front of the computer editing tracks. Now I understand that this is still very subjective and most DJ's have their personal preference. Some of my DJ friends have a favorite set of headphones they take with them to the club and a separate pair they use while on the computer. I used to operate the same way...until now. I have finally found the perfect pair of headphones for me to use at home or on the road. The Pioneer HDJ 2000-MK2. Not the greatest name but they are perfect for my needs. Comfort, durability, audio quality off the charts. High highs and deep lows. The travel case makes it perfect to through in the bag and take to the next gig. Thought they are not the most recent of the Pioneer line I like them better than the newer models as a dual travel/desk headphone.
NOTE: My go to headphones, if I am producing new tracks and not taking them anywhere other than my desk, is still the Pioneer SE-MONITOR5; but save yourself some money and pick up the HDJ 2000 MK2 today and get to it.
